John Rowlands, The Beatles, CHUM August 17th 1965, Open Edition.
17" x 22"
Printed on Luster Paper. Unframed. Signed by Photographer. Open Edition.
From the photographer, John Rowlands : "I met the Beatles when I was 17 and hired as a freelance photographer by Capitol records of Canada. Being a fan of George and a guitar player most of my shots were of him playing. Backstage, after the first show I came across him and his sound man and introduced myself to both of them as they discussed the rewired VOX SUPER BEATLE AMPLIFIERS they were using. They liked my sound opinions because I shot all over MLG. At the press conference between shows I asked George, my new friend, if he would ask John to stand and form a tighter group shot. John obliged and George looked right into my camera when I took the photograph."
